#803 Majorette – Renault V Majorette Motor (1985)

MONTH OF THE BOOTLEG AT TOYS FROM THE PAST!

Not exclusively modest toy companies re-create other bigger toy companies, sometimes it happens the opposite. The Darda Motor cars were invented inward the 60s (1964) as well as they were quite pop inward Germany.

Many years later, inward the 80s, Majorette designed as well as patented a similar pull-back motor that was supposed to hold upwards equally potent equally the Darda motor. Note that the base of operations of the auto has an U.S.A. patent number. Of class the motor is dissimilar from Darda´s, otherwise no patent would convey been granted, but the concept is the same as well as the motor looks also really similar, as well as is used inward the same way. Even the cars are slightly cartoonish, similar Darda´s.

Unfortunately, I don´t know what happened amongst this series, exclusively that it was cancelled exclusively a few years after it was launched. What was the reason? Aparently, the motors were non thence durable.

As it was stated inward the catalogues, the motors could deliver a speed of v meters per instant without batteries, merely yesteryear pulling dorsum the auto a few centimeters.

There were iv cars inward full made, each of them inward ii dissimilar decorations, although other colours were added in all probability later, since other colours are known.
  • Reanult Alpine A110
  • Renault 5
  • Porsche Turbo 911
  • BMW Turbo
Several circuits were also made specially for this line, almost of them amongst loopings.

In 1987, the cars were modified with  a reddish clit on the roof that would offset the auto when pushed, that is, the motor could hold upwards loaded, as well as would stay loaded until the clit was pushed, this agency it was easier to role the circuits amongst to a greater extent than than i car. This serial would thence hold upwards called “Start Motor”.

The Motor serial (or the Start Motor series) should non hold upwards confused amongst the “Turboom” series. This other serial had the same motor, but was prepared to “explode” when crashing. We volition analyse this serial inward to a greater extent than or less side yesteryear side entry.
